(KCR): The Architect of Telangana State
Kalvakuntla Chandrashekar Rao, popularly known as KCR, is an
influential Indian politician and the founding leader of the Telangana Rashtra
Samithi (TRS). He is widely regarded as the key figure behind the formation of
Telangana, India’s 29th state. Currently serving as the Chief Minister of
Telangana, KCR has left a significant mark on the state's political and
developmental landscape.
Childhood and Schooling
KCR was born in Chintamadaka village, Siddipet district, Telangana, on February 17, 1954. Education: He graduated from Osmania University with a master's degree in literature.Early Years of Political Career: In 1983, KCR joined the Telugu
Desam Party (TDP), where he served in several cabinet capacities in
undivided Andhra Pradesh after starting his political career with the Indian
National Congress.
Establishing the TRS: To promote the creation of an independent Telangana
state, KCR established the Telangana Rashtra Samithi in 2001.
